ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The implementation of grant river care activities is overseen by an independent NRCF Advisory Committee, comprising of 5 members representatives from the government, academia, non-governmental organisation, under the leadership of Yang Berbahagia Dato' Ir. Lim Chow Hock.
DATO' IR. LIM CHOW HOCK
Had served in the DID Malaysia for 36 years until retirement in 2014. Upon retirement, he marched as chairman of Malaysian Capacity Development Network (MyCDNet), a board member of Cap-Net UNDP and several others.
HJ MD KHAIRI SELAMAT
Director of River Basin Management Division, DID Malaysia
Has been with DID for over 36 years and involved in many projects including river bank protection, coastal erosion monitoring, flood mitigation and currently river cleaning component of River of Life (ROL) project. His areas of interest are river basin management and sustainable development implementation
PROF DATO' DR MAZLIN MOKHTAR
Deputy Vice Chancellor at UKM
Currently the Chairman of Environment Quality Council Malaysia as well as the committee member of the Merdeka Award and the National Steering Comittee Member of the UNDP Small Grant Programme.
DATO' HJ HANAPI
Had served in the DID Malaysia for 35 years until retirement in 2016. Upon retirement, he marched as Vice Chairperson for MyWP and Steering Committee Member of Global Water Partnership South East Asia (GWP-SEA)
FAIZAL PARISH
Director of Global Envrionment Centre
Founded Global Environment Centre in 1998 working on environmental issues in Malaysia and neighbouring countries. He is internationally recognised expert in environment and natural resource assessment and management with specialisation in coastal, wetland, river basin and water resources.
DR. RAHMAH ELFITHRI
Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow at UKM
Currently involved as Core researcher, Project manager and/or Project leader in numerous water resources management research projects under LESTARI, UKM.
